![]() One of the best features of the Guild Wars 2 gearing system is that end-game ascended gear can be stat-swapped, allowing for easy reuse of gear when a build is outdated or if you simply wish to try something new. Removing infusions from gear is much easier than Runes or Sigils, it’s done with Infusion Extraction Device, which can be purchased from INFUZ-5959 for a measly 24 each. This guide attempts to answer all your questions, even those you don't yet know you have. You can read more about infusions in one of our introductory guides:ĭownstate, dodging, skills tied to weapon types, heart quests, and meta events, it all can be overwhelming for the new player. However, acquiring infusions for your favorite classes can also be a nice endgame grind to get those extra 90 stats. This means that infusions are mostly intended for use in high-level fractals to get to 150 Agony Resistance to make Agony deal no damage. Unlike Runes and Sigils, they provide no unique bonuses but instead a small attribute increase like agony resistance or power. There are a total of 15 infusion slots available by default, ascended back items and rings will have to undergo an infusing process, and your rings additional attuning in order to gain up to 5 extra infusion slots for a total of 18 infusion slots. Infusions are stat-increasing items that can be slotted into infusion slots on ascended and legendary gear. Ascended items’ unique propertiesĪpart from being account-bound and offering the highest obtainable attributes in the game, ascended items introduce a unique infusion system to the game and have some interesting properties like the ability to swap their attributes for a very low price without the need of crafting new item. Note: Hardstuck builds were designed around gear accessibility and reusability, most builds will use similar equipment across professions and sometimes even across the whole armor weight, and if it’s not possible to reach full potential of the builds, we are always trying to add Universal build that performs only slightly worse but shares majority of equipment across multiple builds.Ĭheck out Hardstuck’s builds philosophy for more info on that. Legendary items only offer additional QoL (Quality of Life), so it’s not necessary to craft those if you don’t want to.Īdditionally, ascended items are account-bound, meaning you can freely transfer them between your characters to try out new builds. Iron is also used by jeweler but probably not as common.īack when it was worth doing I made a bunch of while leveling my jeweler then forged everything. This guide aims to teach you about the easiest, fastest, and most importantly, cheapest methods of acquiring your first entry-level equipment for instanced PvE content.Īscended gear is end-game equipment and it gives you the highest amount of attributes for every attribute combination there is. Platinum is used for 5 crafting professions: armoursmith, artificer, huntsman, weaponsmith and jeweler.Īnd both make two different kinds of materials (Iron/Steel and Platinum Ingots/Darksteel Ingots).Īnd I have the impression that the platinum levels are a lot less visited than the iron levels… (especially as iron is used in both T2 and T3 and thus has a larger range of maps in which it can be found).Īs somebody (correctly) pointed out to me, Iron is used for 4 profession… The same four as platinum, just not the jeweler… But the biggest difference still is that Platinum is all for T4 (for both varieties) and Iron is used for both T2 and T3 (Iron and Steel) and thus can be found in a much larger range of maps, 15-55 vs 55-65… Iron is only required for 2 crafting professions Hit those one once a day and you can collect lots of iron fairly quickly. (It’s not uncommon for me to get almost 20 iron ore from a single rich vein.) Plus, there are some good spots out in the world where you can find lots of iron nodes close together. Same goes for Iron/Steel Ingots, but I think that Iron is probably less expensive given that Rich Iron Veins tend to offer a LOT of iron ore.
